Georgia peanuts are a serious business, and the people who grow them are not known for wandering off the party line. Then the Republican chair of the Georgia Peanut Commission endorsed Democrat Jon Ossoff for reelection, explaining that he does not necessarily elect a party. In a state that decides national majorities by a few thousand votes, that is a bigger crop than it sounds.
