That's The Facts, Jack Sticker | Porcupine Press
Jack Smith spent two years as special counsel building cases against Donald Trump, then spent the months after watching them dissolve and himself become the subject. On September 29, 2026, he sat before the Senate Judiciary Committee and declined to apologize for any of it, telling senators he stood by the prosecutions and would not be silenced. A witness table is a strange place to find a prosecutor. He seemed to find it comfortable.
The art is a single square comic panel done in the house style of a 1953 newsstand crime book: Ben-Day dots, heavy brush inks, red and yellow and cyan slightly off register on paper gone the color of weak tea. Smith sits at the hearing table in a blue-green suit and red tie, shaved head, gray beard, one index finger raised, mouth open mid-sentence. The balloon above him crowds half the panel with THAT'S THE FACTS, JACK! A caption box below the table reads Senate Judiciary Committee · Sept. 29, 2026, because even pulp needs a docket.
