On September 22, 2026, Senator Tommy Tuberville told the Senate that many pilots, flight attendants and air traffic controllers are furries. He offered no source. The federal government keeps records on every certificated pilot in the country, and none of them include a fursuit inventory. If the skies are full of cartoon wolves, somebody has been hiding an impressive amount of paperwork.

So we drew the threat. A grinning wolf in a leather flight helmet, ears poked through the top, white scarf streaming behind him, one paw on the yoke of a vintage twin-prop with an altimeter and a coffee thermos in reach. BEWARE THE FURRIES arcs overhead in chili red slab caps with a navy shadow, and a hand-lettered banner under the fuselage carries the senator's own alarm: LORD HELP US, CRUISING ALTITUDE THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND. Down in the corner, Tuberville himself looks up from the tarmac, appalled. The wolf is holding altitude just fine.
